The very lovely Printkick reached out to me and asked me if I’d like to review their stationery. It was a no-brainer, of course I was going to say yes. I love notebooks, pens, pencils and anything of that nature really. This seemed like the perfect opportunity for me to bring stationery to my blog. I’m surprised I hadn’t done that sooner to be honest, as I do love a good notebook.
Navigating Printkick’s website
After Printkick’s fabulous offer to work with them, they asked me to look at their website to see what took my fancy. I was overwhelmed, there was too much choice! I’m not very good at making choices sometimes, as I worry I will make the wrong choice.. so fortunately they took the hassle out of me choosing and selected a range of products for me to try.
Printkick’s website is super user friendly though and you are able to easily find what you are looking for. Printkick offer a variety of different products too (not just stationery, although we’ll be focusing on stationery for this post). You are able to order in bulk, which is perfect for businesses and people looking for promotional items.. or you can order single items, which is obviously great for individuals. As I said before, there’s a lot to choose from.. so you’re bound to find something that you like.
Every time I visited the website a chat representative popped up in the lower right hand corner to see if I needed help with anything. So, if you need help with anything at all, that means there is someone keen to help you, which is nice.
What Printkick sent me
Below is the full list of products that I was kindly sent to review:
- A5 notebook canvas covered
- Two tone fabric cover notebook
- A6 notebook cork covered
- Jenny Metal ball pen in tube
- Sylvia Metal ball pen in box
- Twist pen in metalized finish
- Ball pen in gift box
- Black Swan Pen
- Branded Printkick goody bag
I will talk about the notebooks first, because honestly these were what I was most excited to receive. Who doesn’t love a good notebook?
All of the notebooks are fully lined and are of exceptional quality. I truly don’t have a bad thing to say about them. I think the red notebook has to be my favourite (this is the two tone fabric covered one). It has a two tone polyester fabric cover, 96 pages of A5 lined paper and it has a pocket in the back. I think that’s a pretty neat feature. Very handy. There are also different colours to choose from if red isn’t your thing.
The canvas covered notebook has 96 pages of A5 lined paper, with a canvas hardbound cover and an elastic band to stop it from flying open. The cork covered notebook has the same number of pages and elastic band detail, but it is smaller being A6 in size. The cork notebook is very quirky and I haven’t seen anything like it before. The stitching in the middle breaks up the cork and makes it even more interesting to look at.
Jenny and Sylvia Metal Ball Pens
The first two pens I’m going to talk about are the Jenny and Sylvia metal ball pens. They both arrived in silver cardboard boxes and in those boxes the pens were encased in gorgeous presentable tubes. These look like perfect pens for gifts and look very stylish.
Jenny is my favourite to look at, it’s simple and elegant with a textured middle. It’s not my favourite to write with however, purely because it has blue ink and I much prefer black ink. That’s just a preference thing though!
The Sylvia pen is very pretty with its slanted stitching at the front. Both of the tubes they come in also match with the pen design, which I thought was a nice touch.
This twisty ball pen is also a pen that would make a perfect gift, since it’s already in a box. It also would be perfect for businesses, as it looks extremely professional.
The black swan pen is pretty standard as far as pens go, it’s just got a bit of a unique shape to it. The ink for this pen is blue too, so again, not my favourite. The twist pen in metalized finish has to be my second favourite pen after the Jenny pen (looks wise) as it’s a gorgeous colour and feels very nice to write with. The end of it can even be used as a stylus for phones and tablets, which is really useful.
Last but not least. The branded Printkick Goody bag
I knew no matter what I was going to love this Printkick Goody bag. Look at the cute kitty on it! What’s not to love about that?! I guess if you don’t love cats, then maybe you won’t like it.. but that makes me sad. But personally, I love cats and therefore I love this goody bag.
The bag feels amazing quality, it’s super soft and durable and of course features a super cute cat on it alongside Printkick’s name. On the reverse of the bag is a really cool pattern, but the cat side is by far my favourite. Crazy cat lady over here in case you didn’t know already.
Inside the bag I found a 3 in 1 mousepad, screen wipe and screen protector.. which is the other cat faced product that you can see below. It feels very soft on one side and grippy on the other, which I guess is what makes it good mousepad material. It’s very cute and useful.
Inside I also found a 3 in 1 charger. It has 3 different adaptors which means it will work for android phones and tablets, Windows phones, Go Pro, GPS and lots of different Apple products. An extremely useful piece of kit.
The final thing in the goody bag was an extremely soft notebook with pen. It’s amazing quality and the pen is really nice to write with. My fiancé liked this pen the most when he used it.
Final thoughts on Printkick Stationery
I can’t really comment on the pricing on items or delivery pricing, as I was kindly gifted these items for review.. but what I can say is that they arrived quickly, undamaged and everything looked just as it did on their website. I’m very pleased with the quality of the products I received and I’d recommend Printkick, particularly if you are looking for branded products for promotional purposes.
The communication I had via e-mail was friendly, not intimidating in the least and they made me feel really comfortable.. even when I didn’t know what I wanted to review. The more I communicate with brands and PR people, the more I appreciate the kind of people that make me feel at ease. So, a huge thank you to Aiden for being patient with me and being easy to e-mail back and forth with. I also learned that Printkick are a family run business and that just melted my heart and I think that’s lovely. If you do too, then please consider supporting them.
