I’ve had these beautiful brushes to review for a while now, but that’s purely because of my own awkwardness. You see, I was kindly sent these brushes to review back in March. I asked where the brushes were available for purchase and I was told that they’d be in touch to let me know where so I could include that in my review. So, I waited patiently for a week and then sent another e-mail asking, to which I still didn’t get a response. I felt like if I e-mailed a third time and asked, I would be extremely annoying, so I left it in hopes I’d eventually be told. Fast forward to today and I’ve now recently seen that you can purchase directly from their website, so I can now post them. Hurrah!
So, that’s the tale about my own awkwardness. Apologies to Royal Cosmetics for it taking me so long to post this because of that. This post could have potentially been posted sooner if I persisted, but I don’t want to be that annoying blogger that just keeps e-mailing all the time. Y’know? I guess the positive side of it being posted a lot later than I would have liked, is that I’ve had more time to test them out.
Marble Luxe 12 Piece Brush Set packaging
The brushes arrived in clear plastic packaging, as seen below. I really like the flower detail on the bottom right hand corner. The packaging is pretty simplistic, which is nice.
You are easily able to see what brushes you get and how they are all individually protected nicely inside.
The Marble Luxe 12 Piece Brush Set from Royal Cosmetic Connections is currently £24.99 on their website.
I think that’s pretty reasonable for a set of makeup brushes, especially brushes that come with a case.
Case the brushes come in
The brushes come in a beautiful marble case. The case makes it super easy to travel with your brushes in style. Not only does it look aesthetically pleasing, but it feels good quality too. The stitching around the outside looks nice too.
Even if you don’t want to travel with your brushes, this case would be perfect for storing them in.
It reminds me of a cute clutch bag when it’s closed.
Quality of the brushes
As I said before, I’ve been using these brushes since March and I really like them.
They are great quality for their price. £24.99 is honestly a steal. I love that you get twelve brushes in the set, which means you are prepared for pretty much any makeup look that you want to achieve.
The brushes look really nice, feel good to hold and apply my makeup well. All of the brushes feel very soft and fluffy too, which I particularly enjoy.
I think my favourite brush would be the fan brush, this is the one I’ve used the most. All of the brushes are fantastic though and they’ve all had a turn on my face. The smaller brushes are a very welcome addition to my brush collection.. I feel like a lot of the time the smaller brushes get left out of brush sets.
I will say that I used a very pigmented blue eyeshadow and now the brushes I used refuse to go back to being white on the tips (no matter how much I’ve cleaned them). I’m super happy I had the foresight to take photos before I started using them! So, just be mindful that they might hold onto colour. That was my only gripe with them and it’s minor and could even be down to the eyeshadow I used.
I couldn’t tell you what the brushes are made of, as it doesn’t say on the packaging or online.. but I’m assuming they are synthetic.
Overall, I really like the Marble Luxe 12 Piece Brush Set from Royal Cosmetic Connections and I will continue to use the brushes in my everyday makeup routine.
I’d recommend them as a great starter set, as a gift for someone or even for a gift for yourself. It’s nice to treat yourself every now and then!
