There is a huge convenience about gifts that can be posted through your letterbox. It just makes life so much easier. I was thrilled when Morse Toad kindly sent me out one of their new “Morse Toad Chocolate Puns In The Post” boxes to review.
My Experience with Morse Toad
The Morse Toad website was super easy to use. I had no trouble navigating my way around the site, which is always a huge plus in my book. They do more things than just chocolate puns, but the puns are what I’m focusing on today.
On the Morse Toad website, you can currently pick from five different chocolate puns. They do plan to add more soon, so keep your eyes peeled. All of the designs are pretty cute, but I decided to go with the cartoon Superman one as it looked adorable.
I was really impressed with how effortless they made uploading an image to include on a little card in the box too. They gave you so many options of where to upload from. It’s nice when companies give you more options than just uploading from your computer. You even get to write your own personalised message for the back of the card. Personalised gifts are always nice to send and receive, especially letterbox gifts.
Here’s a little video about the product: Morse Toad Puns In The Post Video
Once I had picked my design, image and message, it was time to checkout. I had no issues placing my order and the free postage was really nice. Now all I had to do was wait.
Receiving Morse Toad Chocolate Puns In The Post
My chocolate arrived in a gold foil bubble wrap envelope, just like in the video. It was posted through the letterbox and I was immediately there to receive it. I think it’s worth noting that because of the way the chocolate is packaged, it might not be wise to send to dog owners without first telling them. I think my cats wouldn’t have been able to get into it, but I’m betting a hungry dog might!
Below is how the box looked when I took it out of the envelope. From top to bottom: top view, rear view and side view.
It’s a cute box, a really nice design. It arrived relatively unscathed, with only a small dent on the lower left side of the box (as seen above). The chocolate inside was unharmed, which was all that mattered to me anyway!
Opening my box of Morse Toad Chocolate Puns In The Post
Inside the box my image of my two cats was printed clearly on a card insert in the top portion of the lid. On the reverse was the lame message I asked for, just to see how it looked. In case you’re curious, it says, “Hope your day is as awesome as you are!” I know, cringey, right? This was going to nobody but me, so I was basically giving myself a congratulatory high five for being me.
I think the card insert was a nice touch though, the image of my cats is now on my fridge held up by a magnet. You could really let your imagination run wild when choosing what to put on that card. It makes a nice keepsake for once you’ve consumed the chocolate too.
Behind the card insert that you slide out of the Morse Toad Chocolate Puns In The Post box, there’s a list of ingredients. I think this is a great way to list the ingredients without it being super obvious. I love the little cartoon Superman in the bottom right corner under the ingredients too. So cute.
Getting to the chocolate!
The chocolate is easy to get to as well; on the sides of the box there’s a convenient way to slide out a plastic tray that holds the chocolate slab. I’ve tried to include a picture to show you the thickness of the chocolate itself too.
It’s great that the best before label is on the plastic tray also.
The design is actually printed onto the chocolate! How cool is that? At first I thought I had to peel it off, like an idiot. The Morse Toad Chocolate Puns In The Post site didn’t really make that clear, so I’m letting you know.
I didn’t get any images of the chocolate in pieces, so here’s a cute video to show you that:
