Liebster Award – Nominated by The North Left

Image of text that says Liebster Award - discover new blogs

The lovely, The North Left, nominated me to do this. Thanks again for the nomination! You can check out her post to find out the questions she was asked and see her responses here.

I’m honestly not 100% sure what the Liebster Award is.. all I can gather is it’s a way for people to discover other bloggers.

So, I’m going to answer the questions that, The North Left, asked me and after that I will list the eleven questions I want my nominees to answer in their blog posts. My nominees will be listed before the questions too.

Now onto the questions I was asked and my answers:

What would your perfect day look like?

In all honesty, my perfect day would probably be spent in bed watching stuff on Netflix, Amazon Video, YouTube and Twitch. I’d love to be in bed with some snacks and nice drink and just chill all day and night. That probably sounds super boring to a lot of people, but to me it sounds great.

Why did you decide to start blogging?

I answered this in my “About Me” section, so here’s what I said there:

I’ve always liked writing and expressing myself in various ways. I needed another creative outlet and a way to connect with others while talking about the things I enjoy in life. I wanted a space I could be honest, whether in a review or talking about things personal to me. Mental health issues are something that are close to my heart, as they are something I have struggled with most of my life. I believe there’s a lot that needs to be talked about in regards to mental health, the stigma surrounding it still needs to be broken down and treatment for these issues needs to be stepped up.

What’s your dream job?

My dream job is obviously getting paid lots of money to do nothing, but since that job doesn’t exist, then I’m going to say something in physical or mental health. But sadly due to my own problems that may never be a reality.

If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A roast dinner. I don’t think I could get sick of a proper roast dinner.. and since it has vegetables with it, then it’d be pretty healthy, right? Right?! That’s what I’m going to tell myself anyway. Mine would include broccoli, carrots, roast parsnips, stuffing, yorkshire puddings and gravy.

What’s your favourite film/book and why?

My favourite film or book is a really tough one for me to narrow down. I don’t actually think I have a favourite of either. There’s a bunch of films and books that I like, but I couldn’t possibly place one higher than the other. However, if we were to narrow it down to a specific area then maybe I could.. like, for example, my favourite Disney film has always been, “The Little Mermaid” but it’s not my favourite film of all time. Does that make sense?

What’s your favourite blog post (written by you) and why?

I’m not very good at narrowing down favourites of anything, but I have two posts that I’m particularly really proud of.

10 ways to help yourself when depression kicks in

10 things I wish I knew about blogging from the start

What’s your favourite blog post (written by someone else) and why?

I’m terrible at remembering blog posts I’ve read and loved, so instead I decided I’d put a link to my favourite blog post by the lovely blogger who nominated me, The North Left:

Designer vs. Drugstore: Which Makeup to Spend and Save on

I enjoy makeup posts and this one is very informative.

What’s your favourite season and why?

Winter is my favourite season. I prefer the cold and I like it because it’s darker out too.

If you could have a super power what would it be?

I can’t pick.. it’s really hard to choose between super strength and invisibility. Can I have both? They’d both be super useful to me. If answering these questions has taught me anything about myself is that I find it really hard making decisions and favourites.

If you could go on holiday anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Japan. I like kawaii stuff. A lot of the culture fascinates me and although I’d probably look extremely out of place there, I’d love to experience it.

What was the first music you bought yourself? (could be CD, tape, download depending on your age!)

It was definitely a cassette tape, but I can’t remember what it was, probably something cringey. I do remember my first CD was a NOW one though.

Yay! I’m so glad you decided to take part, thank you! Loved reading your responses. I’m so indecisive too, and I always say I don’t have a favourite book or film when people ask, there’s just loads that I love the same amount!
And a roast dinner is the right answer haha! What more could you want?!
And thank you so much for linking one of my posts, I’m really glad you liked it- it’s not one of my most popular so that was a really nice surprise. I really appreciate that!
Thank you again for taking the time to answer my questions. I feel like I know you a bit better now, and that’s made me smile today. I’m off to spend the rest of my Sunday in the way you suggested in your first answer….Netflix and snacks! Xxx
