In my quest for conquering PCOS I’m following a book that suggests natural solutions. One of the recommendations is that I cut out all dairy (for at least 3 months), which I have done, although it was a difficult transition for me to make. I love milk and I used to drink it plain and have it in tea. I tried all sorts of milk substitutions and I hated all of them.. soya milk, oat milk, coconut milk.. you name it, I tried it. I’ve not been able to have a cup of tea since I cut out dairy (which is killing me) as I’ve not found a plain milk substitute that I like yet. I was starting to get disheartened that I’d never be able to drink milk again and then I tried “Alpro Soya Chocolate Flavour”.
What I think about Alpro Soya Chocolate Milk
This chocolate flavour is pure heaven in a glass! I am addicted to the stuff and I’m practically living off of it at the moment. No word of a lie, I bought 7 bottles to see me through this week. It tastes just like regular chocolate milk to me, so that’s awesome. It’s only 77 calories per 100 mls too, so it’s not going to make you feel guilty for having it. This drink is a good source of protein enriched with calcium and vitamins in it. Not only that, but it’s completely free from dairy, gluten and wheat. Plus, it’s vegan friendly. The bottles have a good best before life span on them too, so you can keep them in your fridge unopened for a while without worrying about it. There’s even a long life version which lasts even longer! It’s a good consistency too, much like regular chocolate milk.. it’s not too thin and it’s not too thick. It is sooooo good, I can’t get enough of it. Seriously, I urge you to try it.
Have you tried any of the Alpro range? What do you think of them?
